Description

Chakra is Sanskrit for the word wheel or disc. Chakras are energy vortices that spin as glowing wheels of light within every sentient being. Humans have seven (primary) chakras that correspond with areas of the body, starting at the base of the spine, all the way up to the top of the head. Chakras can be overactive or deficient, blocked or out of balance. Selecting a gemstone Mala according to the corresponding chakra may assist one’s vibration at that relevant frequency.

The 7th Chakra known as the Crown or Sahasrara, meaning “thousand petaled”, is located at the top of one’s head where celestial energy enters the body, it is the passageway to the infinite. Opening this Chakra leads to enlightenment, pure consciousness and unity with all that is. There are three colors associated with this Chakra – white, gold and violet. Violet is the color with the highest vibrational frequency. White is the color of pure intelligence and gold is the light of life force energy. Stones for this Chakra are moonstones, clear quartz crystal, amethyst, white calcite etc.

(Please note: There will be variation between every individual piece of the same style, due to the nature of it being hand-created, and due to the availability and imperfections found in stones and fabric – but both these aspects lend character to each piece.)
